About Lianne Lens

In July of 2023, Lianne Lens completed the Animal Science master’s programme at Wageningen UR, specialising in ‘Adaptation, Health and Welfare’ and ‘Animal Ecology’. She began working as a researcher and teacher at Aeres University of Applied Sciences in Dronten on 1 September 2023 for the Human-Animal Interactions professorship. This professorship focuses on animal welfare, particularly on that of horses and pets. She contributes in many areas to the research projects and is especially interested in working with datasets and analyses. She also teaches a number of classes, including breeding and genetics classes. She is interested in keeping and working with horses and pets in a sustainable and therefore animal-friendly way.
