Willemijn van de Geest

Willemijn van de Geest began working at Aeres University of Applied Sciences in Dronten for the Grasslands & Pasturing professorship in 2020. She works on national and international projects on (herb-enriched) grasslands, pasturing, the reduction of emissions such as ammonia and methane. She also teaches subjects that are related to her field of practice. Willemijn grew up on a dairy farm. Besides grasslands, she is also interested in the economic and legal aspects of business administration. For her doctorate, she is currently studying at Wageningen UR on the subjects of proprietary lock-ins experienced in dairy farming and the quality of life of dairy farmers.
