Zilal Suleiman Alkadour is deeply passionate about making a positive impact in the field of Circular Agriculture and the Food Sector. Her primary focus is on research, where she is dedicated to the pursuit of innovative solutions for sustainable and environmentally friendly agricultural practices.

At the core of her work is the quest to revolutionise Integrated Pest Management programmes (IPM) in both open fields and greenhouses. By identifying alternative biological control agents, she aims to reduce our reliance on chemical methods, thus fostering a more sustainable and ecologically balanced approach to pest control. The essence of this research is to effectively manage plant insects and diseases while concurrently championing the isolation and sustainable mass production of local biological control agents. It is a commitment to both crop health and the preservation of our environment.

Collaboration is a key part of her journey. She works closely with students in the laboratory who share her passion for sustainability. Together they actively explore and create various urban farming methods, such as hydroponics and aquaponics.
