In our greenhouse, you can learn all there is to know about plants. You will get to carry out tests on plants and see pests and biological pest control first-hand. Also, you will learn more about the climate computer.
The Aeres University of Applied Sciences greenhouse has a surface area of 600 m2 and is divided into four sections that can all be climate controlled separately. The first section is primarily equipped for the cultivation of vegetable crops, such as tomatoes, cucumbers and capsicums. The second section is primarily equipped for the cultivation of pot plants and for running tests on a table. This section also has a bed of cut flowers. The breeding of plants takes place in the third section. The fourth section is for growing plants directly in the soil. The use of heating, assimilation lighting and substrates enable the cultivation of plants all-year-round.
